HUD Award of Excellence to the City of Cleveland for the Ohio City Market project. The City of Cleveland, along with its many partners, renovated the district that has provided more affordable and attractive space in the park for local artisans to sell their products. As a result of this Place-Based Approach to Transform a Community or Neighborhood, the investment has lowered the commercial vacancy rate in the Ohio City market District from 28 percent to 4 percent.
