Job Description

This is highly responsible, professional, and technical work in the Community Development Department. This position is responsible for overseeing the coordination of federally funded programming – including Community Development Block Grant, HOME Investment Partnership Programs, Emergency Solutions Grants, Shelter Plus Care, and related funding. The position will also oversee coordinating neighborhood resources and building relations inside and outside of City government.

This position is responsible for coordinating and creating strategies and performance metrics for Community Programs Division. Administers federal programs to ensure projects are carried out effectively and in compliance with federal regulations and City requirements. Conducts surveys such as eligibility of capital improvement projects; analyzes survey results to ensure program compliance. Oversees the budgets and expenditures of sub-recipients; prepares grant draws; performs on-site monitoring of sub-recipients and evaluates their performance, identifying weaknesses. Oversees Fair Housing, community services, and
initiatives. Direct oversight of two staff members. Reporting directly to the Community Development Director, this position will be actively engaged in the community and government organization as a whole.
