Community Development Program Coordinator

The Lake County Commissioners and the Department of Planning and Community Development (PCD) are seeking a Coordinator to assist in
various duties regarding Federal Grants, typically, but not limited to Home Investment Partnership Program (HOME) and Community Development
Block Grant (CDBG) Program. This is a full-time with benefits position. Under direction, performs a wide variety of tasks for the PCD Director and
Assistant Director. Responsibilities include performing management and oversight for grant-assisted programs and projects, coordinates with other staff members and subgrantees to achieve program objectives, performs grant coordination tasks, preparing grant plan documents and reports, and assisting with other duties as assigned. Candidate will perform duties that require a high degree of confidentiality. Computer skills, including experience with Word and Excel, are a must. The successful candidate must exhibit strong communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and a high degree of phone etiquette and professionalism are needed. High school graduate/GED plus post-secondary education or training and more than 2 years of experience required, Community Development Grant/Housing activities or government experience preferred; or any other combination of skills and abilities that will be needed to successfully fulfill the position.
