As we collectively face a challenging time, we are fortunate to live in the age of technology which allows the opportunity to work together while remaining apart. Please join us for our first ever virtual meeting which will convene the mornings of July 29 and 30. We will start the meeting off with an update on the OCCD Strategic Plan. This will include an invitation to join board members in the efforts to implement these ideas as we move forward. From there, we will get a viewpoint of managing in a disaster – one year out – with the mighty all female Dayton/Montgomery County team who have been dealing with the fallout of last year’s tornado. For those of us trying to manage through the COVID-19 disaster, this will certainly give us a new perspective. We will wrap up day 1 with time for networking.
You will want to return for day 2 when ICF principal and long- time OCCD friend, Shawna LaRue Moraille will share with us the new requirements for Housing Counseling starting August 1. From there, we will get a legislative update from Anthony Core at Squire, Patton Boggs and then move to our annual awards and business meeting. The day will wrap up with breakout sessions with HUD and Ohio Development Services Agency. This is provide a cost effective way of being actively engaged and networking with peers but still have time to attend to other issues that come up during the day. Please stay safe and healthy between now and then.
