Karen Kerns Dresser passed away this past weekend due to complications from cancer.
Karen had an incredible career in housing and community development. From working in a trade association in DC on urban issues, to the head of the Office of Local Government Services at Ohio Department of Development, to Executive Director of the Ohio Housing Finance Agency, to the president of the National Affordable Housing Trust, to the Community Development Division at Ohio Department of Development, then to Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing where she worked for several years. Her husband David Dresser, who proceeded her in death, was one of the architects of the Urban Development Action Grant program.
